Another of Norman's personal favorites.

The best of the sliding plane compositions, balanced by a series of battered stone walls echoed by a sloped glass atrium. Wright's influence is clear, not just in the exterior but in the plan as well. A rear bedroom wing opens on to the pool terrace and an interior courtyard entirely framed by a Westchester granite stone wall.

Norman was furious when the owner let Charlie Marder talk him into blitzing the place with landscaping as he considered the site a pedsetal on which to display a piece of architectural sculpture.

One of the few Norman Jaffe houses remaining in original condition, recently scooped up by an aficionado.
